Dear Big Boarders,
A few months ago, I came on the forum to express my thanks and gratitude to John Crumplin and BHAFC for their fantastic support of our fundraising for my son Thomas to have a life-changing operation in the US. Having down so, I was blown away by the response I got from you guys, and your amazing support and generosity.
We are just writing to let you all know that Thomas' operation in the USA has been an enormous success - We have been back home for a month or so now, and he is already enjoying life so much more than he ever could before, and we are staggered by the changes in him too!! He has improved hugely in terms of his walking and general movements already, and it is only 8 weeks since his operation. He is walking, flat-footed, climbing ladders, and is trying to run and jump (this will come!) - and he has ditched his wheelchair. It is truly incredible.
Not only this, but his speech and language is greatly improved, as is his general interaction with us, and he just seems like a new, happier, little boy - one who has had a massive weight lifted from his shoulders. He is blossoming before our eyes, and we are absolutely thrilled, his progress is better than we ever imagined, and with hard work, he will continue to improve from here. His health care professionals here in the UK are also amazed by how much he has changed.
He has now started school for the very first time, and seems to be loving it.
We will never forget the support that we received from you - and we can never thank you enough. We thought that you would like to see for yourself the difference your amazing generosity has made to Thomas and our family's life.
Please do have a look at his latest video, on his blog, which was filmed over the last couple of weeks or so, it shows his continuing progress so far ....
Unfortunately this site is preventing from posting a weblink, but if you Google Hope4Thomas, and look at the blog, you will see it.
Thank you again from the bottom of ourhearts, and up the Seagulls
