Having spent a pleasant week in Tenerife I have some grave news to report concerning some of our "friends" from the North and the manner they conduct themselves given they are representing our country.
There were 4 very serious incidents I must report but some of these people must be OK - Yorkie for one (albeit soon to be repatriated) - maybe Mrs Thatcher was right to ignore the North.
Incident 1 - At 09:15 hrs on first morning I went to the shop to buy some milk as the young "Huts" required breakfast. A queue is forming around the pool where the locked up sunbeds are stacked. Return at 09:30 hrs and a daily ritual seems to occur when unlocked where hoards of people are queueing to get a sunbed saying T' this and T' that.
Incident 2 - Thursday visited local market and purchased some goods, got my change and said "Mucho Gracias" response - "Ta Loove" !!!
Incident 3 - Not put off went for a swim in main complex pool and decided to try and engage some conversation on the pleasantries of Spanish Culture - the main topic of conversation concerned where to buy "T'best chip buttie" !!
Incident 4 - Around 19:00 hrs left complex for a pleasant meal down on the beach with family. A "store" is set up outside hotel with young northern children flogging "T'boat", T'rubber ring" etc.
This kind of activity must stop immediately, it's a total joke and these type of people need to be given lesons of understanding basic behavioural patterns and acting in a normal fashion.
Hovever hope is at hand and I will propose a new government policy to my local MP - Any northern persons with acutely poor behavioural technique will have their Passports withdrawn or arrival back in the UK and re-issued stamped "Not allowed further south than Malaga".
Upon completion of a some intensive training on improved behaviour and completion of an exam then they the Passport can be re-issued allowing more extensive travel.
