I will be out the country for the next couple of weeks and do not want to miss the Falmer decision should it come early.

is there a text message service that covers news and results (not every single goal etc) and is not to expensive, also easy to leave when I dont need it anymore?

The club message service is the only one I know of. Its 25p a text and will give you Team Updates and goal updates per game as well as any breaking news (see club website of how to join, I've forgotten).

The bad news is that a 4-3 thriller will be 10 texts in all (Both team news, All seven goals and a Mcghee post match reaction, so £2.50, which dosent' include any network charges for sending abroad). It is also not instant. I've had goal updates at 11pm on the Saturday night and they sometimes send the same message 3 times and charge for it. In other words it can be expensive and unreliable & I stopped doing it for all of the above reasons. When I was in America I ended up getting a mate to text me the result.

I think you can get a service that just gives you the news with no score updates, although I dont know where you get it. Try ask the club.

PM me your phone number - I will text you when it comes through. I also have updates from the ODPM sent to this computer, but I don't know if that is available to all (it has an mod.uk address, which might help!). As soon as anything comes here, I will post it up.
