Thats 27p a bottle.

Exactly. Perhaps we should think a bit more about whether this is good news. Don't get me wrong, on the one hand it's great that we can get pissed for so little, BUT it can only be bad news for the pubs and for livers everywhere. Is it right that the likes of Tesco use alcohol as a loss leader, selling it below cost?

Carlsberg isnt the greatest beer in the world (contrary to the adverts) however for a fiver its handy to have in a cupboard for visitors or a quick beer with a meal or whatever. No point in crashing down the good stuff on a week night. Savour it for the weekend!

I must admit i picked up 2 cases for a tenner on saturday morning, thinking i can palm it of onto the reletives over xmas when they visit and it wont cost me much. Job done i thought.
