Watching Minder on ITV 4.

That boy pulled some birds back in the day 👍

Its a different one every episode 😂
True story: Dennis W lived close by, and a regular in a pub I know. Literally bumped into him one afternoon with my Mrs, and said "Oi, mind-her..." Think he'd heard that one before? :)

My neck of the woods is swarming with 'em. It's like Stella Street: Ross Kemp at my vets, Tess & Vernon at the gym, Clive Woodward walking on the moor, Ulrika in the bakery, Jim Rosenthal at the pub, Hoddle in the Chinese, Timmy Mallet at the hardware shop, Wendy Craig at the hairdressers, Lorraine Kelly in Costa and was chatting to Shakin Stevens the other week, he makes a right old fuss of my dogs when we see him. He's still got the jet black hair and that twinkle in his eye. Top man!

All I can find is this from his Wiki. Sounds like a man in denial to me. People can be annoying of course, but how one reacts...

Waterman's marriage to Lenska ended because of his violent behaviour towards her. In March 2012, he caused controversy with some comments on this issue: "It's not difficult for a woman to make a man hit her. She certainly wasn't a beaten wife, she was hit and that's different." Lenska said there was a "violent, abusive pattern"; Waterman himself admitted he might have "drunk too much" to remember details. The interview was broadcast in full on Piers Morgan's Life Stories on ITV in May 2012

LOL! Also seen Helen Glover and husband Steve Bakely canoe up to and moor at my local. It's on the river and you can't get to it by road, only by walking or by boat (beer's rowed over from the other bank). I'm fecking useless at spotting celebs too! Wife usually sees 'em, I've chatted to a couple over the years and didn't realise until she said afterwards. I usually just think they look familiar, and maybe seen around and about somewhere rather than on the tele! Memory is not my strong point and well, you're not expecting to see someone famous down the shops or out on a walk are you? Funniest thing was back in the day I had a Danny Cullip t-shirt on and popped into my wife's business to drop something off; only for her Accountant to say "Do you know Danny?" Turns out she'd been a mate of his since they were kids, growing up in Bracknell. She said it was really weird to see her friend on my T shirt!

“Ross Kemp at the vets”
What was he in for?

“Timmy Mallet in the hardware store”

These write themselves 🤣

One of my Fulham mates around here used to go out larging it with Dennis Waterman, including taking him to Fulham which was a bit awkward as he was a well known Chelscum fan. The writer of Minder was a Cottager and made him support Fulham in the TV series.
Unfortunately Chelsea featured here but still a funny clip.

Ah yes. The old “it’s her fault I hit her” and “it’s not my fault: I was drunk” excuses of a domestic violence perpetrator.

Textbook.
