Right. We're top.
Haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders yet IMHO (apart from 2 or 3 games).

I've split the league into thirds, top, middle, bottom.

We've played 5 out of the other 7 in the top third.
6 out of 8 from the middle.
2 out of 8 from the bottom.

In theory, this should mean that we would expect to keep picking up a lot of points upto the mid-season.

To make things better, we're scoring regularly and the defence is as tight as a Nuns snatch.

Excellent position to be in, and as long as we sign a half decent manager (which I'm sure Knight will do, his record's very good so far), I can only see us being up near the top when the season ends.

Nice in theory, but if you look at last Season in the same way.

We were crap against the teams at the bottom, and done best against the teams at the top.

If we follow that pattern this season we'll miss the play-offs

Yes but last year, what did we do in our first 2 games BHA Links?

4 points from our first 2 games, Charlie. We'd be in the prem on that Form.

I can see no way we won't win this league. Unless the little guy gets injured, but even then...

Interesting that we aren't getting dodgy 1-0 victories this time around in Div 2.

The last 3 games have resulted in us scoring 3 goals (not a one man team)

I would like to see Rehman stay for another 3 months loan at least if possible.

I'd prefer to see him on a season's loan Yorkie but I doubt we'll be that fortunate.

We play a better game of football so can't win long ball games. I agree we play better against the better teams, as they allow us to play. Lower teams don;t

This division is absolute garbage - you've only got to be organised (we are), not give away silly goals (we don't), and have a couple of players capable of nicking something at the other end (we have), and that is more than enough to get you to the top. Thats two 3-0 wins on the spin where we've not exactly been brilliant, and hardly had to break sweat.

This team is capable of walking this division. If we steer clear of injuries, I honestly can't see who is going to threaten us. QPR and Sheff Weds were nothing special, Swindon looked good but have lost Milner and now Parkins done his ligaments, Port Vale - don't make me laugh. Bristol City are stuttering. Who else is there ?

If you look at the results we've had against these teams, we've done worst against teams in the middle third of the table (although Barnsley were top when they played us)....

W D L
Top third 3 2 0
Middle third 3 1 2
Bottom third 2 0 0

Possibly this is because we get a bit overconfident? However, we haven't lost in the league for 6 games - so perhaps we're over that now (although Bournemouth are mid-third - I hope this doesn't spell impending defeat!).

I think we're just very difficult to beat at the moment - the defence (even without Cullip) looks rock-solid, and with Leon and McPhee forming a very good partnership there's always going to be goals.

If we can stay relatively injury and suspension free then I can't see any other team catching us.

i think people should calm down a bit, there has only been 12 games played and all ready some people are going over the top.

Well considering we have 3 players who may not play again this season we are looking very good and by far the best team in the league.

Yes i do believe we will stroll this division although we must not get to many injurys or sell our best players.:lolol:
