I’ve recently started enabling my camera on teams meetings now when I’m wfh.

Can you not explain that you are driving and cannot video ?

In my job they need to be Teams meetings as I need to share screen at points to go through certain documents etc.

TBH it's very rare that I do meetings in a coffee shop. I always look for any other solution first as I really don't like doing it and totally empathise with the OP/point of this thread.

We’ve got a senior manager at work who takes over small offices, hosts his Teams calls standing up whilst doing Yoga and other various stretching techniques - all with his camera on …

I’d imagine he’d think nothing of doing the same in his local Costa…

I’m not sure what he manages tbh, but he certainly manages to PISS me off on a regular basis.

I really like hearing Teams meetings in coffee shops. I'm naturally nosy so it's good hearing what people are up to. And, as a journalist, I'm always hopeful that one of them involves a company that I cover, so there could be a juicy story. It never has yet, but I live in hope.

A bit off-topic but I actually have had a work meeting in a sauna. I was meeting someone in Finland and he said let's get out of the office and we sat in the sauna, in the nude. It wasn't easy taking notes though as sweat kept dripping onto the paper
