Team Wilshere vs Team Pietersen

You should only play for England if you was born here. Why did kevin play cricket here instead of south Africa? Because he couldn't handle the fact that black people needed to be included whether they were good or not. Quoter. I'm in the English camp. Born here and good enough then play.

can see it down the line we'll have 12 players from bongo gongo land playing for us.

The opinion of a Brighton Supporter who has defected to Palace is irrelevant.

Harold Shipman was educated under a Conservative government. You'd rather have a mass murderer than a footballer of limited intelligence? Jesus you're sick

Let me guess...............you used to write the clues in 3-2-1?

It's completely different for SO many reasons.

1 - People aren't hanging on your every word. It won't go to the national media.
2 - You have the option to pre-write a response, read it back, make a decision as to whether that's what you want to post and only THEN you are expressing the view which can still be deleted or edited before it is read.

I couldn't be MUCH more different to sitting in front of the national press to talk about FOOTBALL and being asked a question about NATIONAL IDENTITY and then being expected to tick all the pr boxes there and then without a SINGLE issue being raised from a quite dangerous question.

It can't be compared.

Whatever. I'm sorry but 21 year olds are responsible for what comes out of their mouths whether it's on here, on the street or in an interview.

Pietersen is a prime example of why foreigners shouldn't be allowed to play for england, he is south african, and more importantly FEELS south afican, he wouldnt have been texting the opposition on how to get his captain out if he didnt, a great player undoubtedly , but I've seen him quoted as saying 'dont ask me , its your fvcking country' when asked a question on politics , you should have grown up here at the very least to represent england or great britain.

Did he really do that?

I might see it differently if it was just a few people , but its not ,its significant numbers , it will affect social cohesion and a sense of national identity in the future, in fact i'd say it already is , what with wilfred zaha riven with internal conflict of whether to play for the country that he left at age four and probably doesnt have any memory of.

Coming from someone with such a deep seated feeling towards their national identity. Is that because you have lived here all your life or because it is ingrained in your DNA?

I haven't got a clue , but what I will say is that if I made another country my permanent home , then j would bring my kids up to see themselves as nationals of that country , there are too many people here who have been welcomed with open arms and encouraged to believe that they and their families have no reason whatsoever to ffoster feelings of BritishNess , there are people being let into this country who actively dislike us , and no I'm not talking about Muslims , I'm talking about most of tbe south Africans I've ever met.
