2010 USSF D-2 PRO LEAGUE STANDINGS - NSC Minnesota Stars

The season schedule is based around "pods". Our pod has Vancouver, St Louis and Portland.

"Teams within the same pod will play each other four times, twice at home and twice away. Teams will play one team outside of their pod four times, twice at home and twice away, and will play the rest of the teams outside their pod twice, once at home and once away. This results in a thirty-game season for each team. There will also be a play-off structure at the end of the season."

If that seems like excessively complicated fannying around... it is. But it is mostly to do with teams being so spread out. Our closest competitor is 600-odd miles away.

We're coming into a critical time of the season. Current standings are:

Which puts us in the last spot for playoff contention. We're going to need many points if we're going to make it, and we pretty much play the top of the table from here on out. All positive mojo is welcome.

Sadly, no. There is no relegation and the only way up is if you're a big enough club to play in the MLS.

I don't think any sports in the US have relegation, which is too bad.

Just saw what you wrote on your forum, I am fully aware Takada is not Chinese.

It is a bit of an in joke with me and people on this message board who call me Chinese, because of how I look - I was playing up to the joke.

Understood. He has actually done a good job and is seeing a lot of playing time as of late. He is more of a holding midfielder, however, from what I can tell he tends to attack more in the second half. He has a lot of great potential; good hustle during the match; typically makes smart decisions.

I really do not know much him from his past teams. He did play in a club in southern MN called the Rochester Thunder, which is in the US Third Division.
