I know we had this debate the other day, but I'm going to disagree again. Revell was NOT winning anything yesterday - certainly nowhere near the amount that Bas did in 20 minutes. etc...
Our debate the other day was Robinson v Revell, not Bas v Revell.

Of course, on Saturday's showing Bas' performance pissed all over Revell's, but then it pissed all over everyone else's too.

I'm in two minds about starting Bas. It's not as though he doesn't deserve to start, it's just that he has been extremely effective when coming on as sub with 20 minutes to go. Once a defender gets used to the way an attacker is playing, they can lose their effectiveness. As it transpires, any decent defender should have sussed his attacker within 20 minutes or so - the same amount of time Wilkins has given him on the pitch.

I understand the perversity of this state of affairs, but there is a school of thought that says, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it...' After all, Bas did start at Tranmere, so it doesn't always work that way round.

Sounds like a shite excuse to be playing Hammond (because I agree, he has been poor) but its the whole club captain thing that makes me reluctant to drop him. Hammond is a good captain and if he were to be dropped, who would replace him as captain and as a central midfielder? I wouldn't like him to be dropped in favour of someone like Fraser. Hammond has been poor this season, last season he most definitely wasn't.

Weirdly enough, I would be happy to have Fraser in the middle, with O'Callaghan playing where Hammond ought to have been.

PLUS... I would have Fraser as captain. Really. Even with that lack of experience. Not so much for his talent, but more that he is a belligerent fucker who would not think twice about yelling to (or at) his team-mates. Lynch might make a decent captain as well, but only if he plays in central defence.

I bloody agree with you TLO!

One factor people may wish to consider is that Millwall are away to Swansea tomorrow night. Now any team that plays Sat/Tue/Fri is going to be pretty tired by the closing stages on Friday which would be an excellent opportunity for Bas to do what Bas does.

I would like to see Jake partner Forster and run at them from the off with Bas an option to be used for later on when they will crumble under his onslaught and we will crush then 5-1.

Just MHO like :albion2::albion2::albion2:
