Im sorry, but Hammond does not deserve a place in the team atm. We just get overrun through the middle and he seems unable to run. Thinks its time to try someone else in CM

el-Abd was brilliant again today. Fact.

i thought he was average. millwall will be a real test, and we will need to put out our strongest side, and that is with andrew whing at right back

No he was not - average at very best and very nervous to watch as a defender

Another towering performance, several last-ditch game-saving tackles, rescued us time after time.

If that's average?? I'll accept his normal average game every week, thankyou.

last ditch tackles after he got skinned by the bloke in the first place. one of the reasons kuipers looked so commanding today was because of the amount of crosses he dealt with - something the full backs are supposed to stop

80% of the time when he gets the ball at the back, he instantly hoofs it long. and don't even get me started on his first touch, or the lack of it when the ball rolled straight under his foot

Worthing
-----------Kuipers-------------
Whing Elphick Butters Lynch
-----------El Abd----------
O'Callaghan------------- Cox
-------------Hammond-------
------Savage----Forster-----

Not sure how O'Callaghan would be on the wing and it is harsh on Martot and Revell but the above would offer a combination of solid defence and effective attack.

It's very simple. We must start on Friday with the 11 that finished yesterday. For 66 minutes yesterday we were awful. 4-5-1 at home sends an instant message to the away team that we are scared of them and not confident enough to play them. For the amount of service he got as lone striker, Forster may as well not have been playing the first half. As soon as Jake came on, then a few minutes later Baz, we went to 4-4-2 and scored 3 goals in 15 exhillerating minutes! It's not rocket science is it?

I thought that both full backs yesterdy were poor until Rents came on.

I fully expected El Abd to be gtaken off for Rents awith Elphick moved to right back as I thought El Abd was generally poor and anybody suggests that Lynch plays well at left back must be watching a different player to me. He was awful until moved to central defence and we then had a natural full back in place.

I would start with the 11 that finished except Whing for El Abd

I think you'll find that that's exactly the team I suggested in the original post of this thread if I'm not mistaken?-
