After last nights poor performance do you think MM will make big changes or rely on those who got us there. I have a feeling MM is going to surprise everyone & revert back to 4-3-3

Roberts
Virgo, Butters, Cullip, Harding
Oatway, Reid, Chippy,
Piercy
Knight, Iwelumo

subs:
Hart, Mayo, Kuipers, Robinson, Hinshelwood

After last night, Oatway must not be in the team and OGH must start - all he did was run at them with the ball but we looked SO much better when he was on. So with that in mind, I'd start with Hart up front with Leon out wide like Coppell sometimes used to play him. And we must go there and have a go. To sit back and play on the break means certain defeat.

My team for Cardiff:

Roberts

Sir Adam Virgo, Cullip, Butters, Mayo

Knight , Reid, Carpenter, Jones

Hart Big Chris

Subs: FDM, Harding, McPhee, Piercy, Oatway

I would be tempted to bring Mayo back for Harding.

Harding is going to be a very good player but I am not sure he is ready, at the moment, for pressure situations.

If Reid and Carpenter play in the middle it would allow either OGH or Super John Piercy to play on the right.

After last night, drop Oatway, drop Knight. Little Leon SEVERELY got on my tits last night. When Harty went up front, the difference in attitude was embarrassing. Just ironic Leon limped off after making a superb last-dtich tackle. I don't care who replaces them. I'll play if I have to...

Kuipers

Virgo Cullip Butters Harding

Piercy Carpenter Reid Jones

Hart Iwelumo

Subs: Roberts, Hinshelwood, Mayo, Oatway, Knight

This is a much more balanced, attacking line-up, with us being able to defend on THEIR 18-yard box.

Yeah - it may be because of his " leadership " skills. He's clearly an important part of the squad and may be always picked as can get the rest if the team " up for it". To be fair to him, if the game plan is to stop the opposition ( McGhee's modus operandi it seems ) he's sometimes good in that role ( e.g. Ist leg at Swindon) but increasingly I think he struggles to get into games.

I'd always go with those who are comfortable on the ball and that means Chippie and Reid in central midfield.

You can't be serious about dropping Roberts, TLO?

My team would be:

Roberts

Lord Virgo Cullip Butters Harding

Hart Carpenter Reid Jones

Knight Iwelumo

bench: Kuipers, Piercy, then 3 of Hinshelwood, Mayo, Oatway, McPhee or Robinson

If I had to do a deal, I would have Roberts in goal IF it meant keeping Leon Knight out. The team that finished the game played miles better than the team that started it.

True, but I think that was partly for tactical reasons. All 4 midfielders were told to defend so Knight & Afro got zero support

What is it about Reid? People seem intent on dropping Oatway for Reid, but however bad Oatway played he was still better than Reid

no way stumps! oatway is a liability who looks like being sent off or giving away possession every time!

Roberts MUST be in goal, as much as i admire Kuipers now is not the time to be unsettling the team! The defence have a lot of confidence in Roberts as the evidence of 6 clean sheets before last night shows!

And as for Leon, he does have his off-days but can we really afford to leave a 25 goal striker out of the team in a play-off final?! Ridiculous!

First part, totally agree.

Second part. The fact that he has got 25 goals counts for absolutely nothing. Last night (and at Swindon - and indeed the past few games) he showed little or no appetite for the game. It was a big game AND HE DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW. That for me is totally unacceptable behaviour.

Just because he is capable of bagging 25 goals a season does not follow he will score. If you had come in to our season halfway through and saw him playing, you would think him lazy, nay shite. OGH's contribution last night showed how much enthusiasm Knight has for this. Virtually zero.

When was his last "on" day?,When did he last score from open play? I would rather see young Jake up front. Drop Leon to the bench, it might shake him up a bit
