Not sure if this has been posted already. The last paragraph of this is particularly galling.
Hull's Taylor snubs Reading vacancy
Hull City manager Peter Taylor has turned down an offer to take over at first division Reading.
The former Leicester boss and England Under-21 coach was approached following Alan Pardew's acrimonious departure from the Royals to West Ham.
But a statement from Tigers chairman Adam Pearson revealed that Taylor had decided in favour of remaining at the Division Three club.
Pearson said: 'Peter was very clear in his decision that he did not want to pursue this opportunity.
'He is extremely focused on the job he has started so encouragingly at Hull City and is determined to see the job through to a successful conclusion.
'Peter was flattered that a successful club such as Reading wanted to pursue their interest in him but is very clear that his foreseeable future is with Hull City Football Club.
He is also determined to take the club to the higher echelons of the Football League where we all believe it should be.'
Pearson's statement, released on the official Hull website, continued: 'I am obviously delighted that Peter has shown such loyalty and commitment to the club at a particularly important period in Hull City's redevelopment and I really look forward to working with him for many seasons to come.'
