Taxi from Three Bridges to Falmer on Saturday?

Just found out about the train problems for Saturday (Great timing Southern Trains).

I'm wondering whether a taxi from Three Bridges to Falmer is an option.

Anyone done this? How long? How much?

Anyone looking to share a taxi with two more?

Will cost about 45 quid and take about 40 mins allowing for traffic.

The Metro Bus 271 and 273 go from Crawley Bus station to Churchill square I think, possibly takes about 90 mins or so but you do not need to change.

Unless you can share surely the bus replacement service is a an option? The direct bus from Three Bridges to Brighton takes forty five minutes, but make sure you get the direct one.

The replacement bus service from Three Bridges isn't that bad.

If get the "fast" bus that goes straight to Brighton station, it isn't that much longer than the train. Just give yourself a bit more time to get there.

Of course, what wont help is half of North London travelling down, so thats why I'm setting out early

I do not know but as there are no trains from Haywards Heath I would suggest not. Is it not the whole line from Brighton to Three Bridges which would include the line the Lewes train goes on to HH.

There are trains between Wivlesfield and Brighton.

Road Runners should be able to provide a decent quote - they tend to be quite cheap. They do tend to negotiate too - though up front when you're ordering it, rather than once you're already at your destination (I tried that once when pissed & it didn't go down too well with the driver!)

Edit: I have these 2 numbers in my phone - I'm not sure which is the best one to use, as I always call them when drunk! 01293780780 & 08712007777
