I don’t believe so because the ref saw the incident and gave a yellow. If it had been missed completely then I think they can take retrospective action.

The level of refereeing in the Premier League is negligent. For that to go through the onfield referee and VAR and not be deemed a red is comical. Wire them up so we can hear the reasoning like in rugby. Rugby refs are given a lot more respect, and partly due to not being incompetent.
