[In a vain attempt to keep this thread on subject, and cut through the crap about Bints and Quiche that appears to have appeared on here]

Is this definite ? (about Swiss Tony).

Meopham, Kent.
What is the source of the story?
Would have thought we'd look at him tomorrow as well.

Sorry been off NSC for a bit, Papa, i have no reason to doubt my source as she's always been 100% reliable in the past...

She does post on here, perhaps she will confirm it for you later...

It is true. I heard it at a meeting last night where Steve Coppell was speaking. He said that he wants two strikers to replace BZ. Leon Knight is small so he needs a tall striker to complement him. He has made numerous enquiries but has not yet come up with one. Having seen Gaetano he decided he was not what he was looking for. He also said that he likes to play with a flat back four but, with Dean Blackwell out injured, he will have to revise this. The expectation from many fans is that we will win the Second Division. However, he feels that this is unlikely with the present squad, although the play-offs might be in reach. He is reluctant to spend the whole of the budget at the beginnng of the season and is prepared to see how things pan out initially and how he needs to strengthen the squad.

Anyone know whether the Beach Boy is still with us? Or has he flown the nest too?

He went after the Crawley game. I'm not surprised; he didn't look particularly good

Must be a tiresome life for players at this time of the season trying to find a club.

Wouldn't fancy it myself.

I take it back. I have just heard the SC interview and he is still with us. (Carl Wilson-Denis that is)

Yeh Beach Boy is still here, he had a slight knock before the Woking game so didn't play.

Good to hear that the Beach Boy is still here but what's the betting that he'll be following Swiss Tony out of the door real soon?
