Failures at Leicester and Notts County much more telling. Many would argue he failed with the quality he had for England too. So you seriously think he'll be good for us?

That's a far better record than his immediate predecessors and successors who had similar players at their disposal: Hoddle and Keegan before; McClaren and Cappello afterwards.

To be fair i changed my wording from 'clueless' to 'completely unsuitable for Brighton' later down the thread.

I do disagree that the England team were moderate. Many regarded them as our Golden generation! madness....this is all irrelevant anyway since Bloom will never sign him. Far too expensive and unproved at our level, wouldn't be a success without significant financial backing. Talk about Charlie and the Chocolate factory.....right through the ceiling

I take the polar opposite view. He failed miserably in this division with far more money available than we would give him. If we are prepared to back a manager with money I would think Hughton would be a far better bet.

Chris Hughton plays the same system as Sami Hyypia, 4-2-3-1 and is just as flipping stubborn. That would mean a transition would be easy, but I can't see it would make all that much difference, so not worthwhile.

In fact, the Norwich underachievement and their failure to replace Hughton is an argument to persevere with Hyypia for three more matches at least. I don't want to see Nathan Jones in charge.

I prefer Sven to Hughton by a large margin.

First 13 league games: Lost five, drew six, won two. You could throw in cup wins against two League Two teams and Swindon.
