Congratulations to the Sussex women's team, they've won the Championship!

Clare Connor has led Sussex to their first Frizzell Women's County Championship title, despite narrowly losing to Surrey yesterday at Pembroke College, Cambridge. In a rain affected final day, many matches were decided
by Duckwoth-Lewis to produce the closest finish to the Women's County Championship for nearly a decade.
At the final analysis, Sussex top the table by just half a point.

Sussex 86.5 points, Notts 86 points, Kent 68.5, Yorkshire 58.5, Surrey 54.5 and Berkshire 32.

As County Champions, Sussex will play South Africa tomorrow at Fenner's in the tourist's first warm-up match ahead of the first npower women's Test on 7th August at Shenley Cricket Ground.

If people think the football offside rule is difficult to explain, they obviously haven't heard about Duckworth-Lewis.

But well done to the England captain and the rest of the Sussex girls - we'll see how they get on today at Cambridge.

Yes I read about it on Ceefax (BBC South) whilst looking in vain for a report on Thursdays play on the TOP OF THE TABLE clash between Sussex and Surrey.

Absolutely nothing. We think their coverage of the Albion is bad, but at least we get a mention on Ceefax. As far as cricket is concerned we don't exist. Anybody got an email address for compalints?
