Also their last wicket partnership in the 1st innings (70 odd)is looking like it could be the difference between the two sides.

Good call.

This guy Chawla is becoming a cult figure. Is he available to bowl against the Aussies next week?

If he was English he'd probably get drafted into the Ashes squad ahead of jokers like Swann, Monty and Rashid...

Very good match, it's a shame none of the batsmen bar Nash and Joyce, could show the same amount of grit as Chawla, Lewry and Tucker

we let ourselves down with that performance on wed. another 36 runs then & then where would we be ??

All the same though a terrific game. I really thought that Langer had cocked it up by not forcing the follow on but he's got away with it ....just !!

The same could be said of the last game, when all was lost, then it looked certain we would win, but in the end settled for a draw.

Chawla's CCC batting average must be mental with a not out innings and a century. What a way to bow out
His County Championship batting average is now 129.0. His bowling average is 21.63.

Murray Goodwin - what IS the story there?

3 years ago the thought of dropping him for Hopkinson would have been insane...

Just three out of the 22 Sussex scores are over 30.

Cack.

That's the telling statistic. We need a few batsmen with some application.

I still don't get this idea of playing Hodd as a batsman - is he really better than RHB? - and Murray is clearly struggling. Yards can be forgiven after two 100s on the trot but some of the middle order should take a look at themselves.

We bowled brilliantly in this game but were let down badly by the batsmen.

You could equally say that their last wicket partnership in the first innings cost us though.
