I mean, did you really need to say that when he was trying to dig us out of a hole??

Gone for 20. 248/8.

Schoolboy error :(

What happened? Good bowling, poor batting or luck? Looks like a perfect batting day!

Briggs 18 overs 26 runs 1 wicket.
That bodes well for the afternoon.

A couple of wickets has made things interesting.

I'm happy with 281ao as they'll have to bat last on this pitch. Over to our batflids now...

Going to need a biblical effort from Sussex to claw back those 19 runs.

Nash seems seriously out of form.

Will try getting to Arundel today, haven't played/watched any cricket this year so need to pull my finger out!

Was there yesterday, pitch looked dry but no obvious reason for so few runs in 2 days. Think you can just attribute it to poor batting to be honest.

Is it that few? More than 300 runs a day at over 3 runs an over? It's not a batting paradise but that's just about par for the Championship.

What's more interesting is that no-one has passed 50 yet ... even though nearly all have reached double figures. That's very unusual to see.

Well below par on a (relatively) small pitch, no?
