they are bad and out of form, not because of a championship hangover, but because
Ian Ward is more commited to co commentate on a 2 bob 20/20 game at taunton
and some of the other players were out on the lash last night pulling some magnificent shapes to the cha cha slide in the walkabout

Guts got glory last season. In nearly all of the last dozen or so games at least two players pulled a borderline career best performance out of the bag.

I can't imagine any county winning the championship in such a manner again.

Apart from the away fixture at Lancs and the home game v Surrey we had a couple of players in each game (often not the likely candidates) who took it upon themselves to dig in/ take the game to the opposition.

there were probably 10 different players for us who justified man of the match at some point across the season.

This season has seen the sporadic quality performance from Mo, Mushy, Adams, Ward, Prior amongst others but we haven't had anyone do anything surprising.

Wright's bowling aginst Somerset in the one day game is one of the highlights of the season for me. 'nuff said.

Lancs supporters will be equally disappointed 'cause quite frankly the championship was theirs for the taking this year. However, form is temporary and as we have a very high class squad with more than our fair share of potential match winners.

I believe that the boys will still do us proud this season.
