Sensible move. There’s too much on Farby’s shoulders now he has his new title. and We will need all the experience we can get this summerMark Robinson rejoining on a short term contract. Interesting development.

Peter Lever: Former Lancashire and England bowler dies aged 84
Former Lancashire and England fast bowler Peter Lever dies at the age of 84 following a short illness.www.bbc.co.uk
RIP Peter Lever.
A little bit before my time. Others may have memories. I was a bit surprised the Chatfield incident didn't speed up the introduction of helmets. I'm surprised there weren't fatalities back then.
Great to hear the legendary Peter West at the start of the commentary. Famous for his bewildering analogies. I fear that sort of commentary is long lost. I was only a kid, but I loved it.I LOVE the old clips of cricket coverage in the old days. BBC1/2 all day on TEST cricket for home series and the camera only at one end of the pitch.
Lever was part of that immortal period of Lancashire cricket. Agnew wrote a lovely piece about him for BBC sport today - RIP Peter

The martlets are away to Warks first up, starting on Thursday. In their final warm-up v Northants the bears amassed 504-0 after batting for 90 overs - six of the eight batsmen to take strike retiring their innings.
Do any folks here know any newsagents that stock The Cricket Paper ? It's from the Greenways stable and The Rugby Paper was always a good read. So I fancy getting it this year.
