Well played young man, were still loose obviously but well bowled...

His first Michelle ... but suspect it won't be his last

Those are decent figures on a good batting wicket against a team with four test match batsmen

Yes. Presumably he is, along with Crocombe and Coles, at the vanguard of Dizzy's suggested army of high calibre youngsters currently being developed at Eaton Road. Garton, Haines and Rawlins also in this game.

We obviously have to wait and see. There have been many, many dubbed "a very exciting young cricketer" over the years - but hopefully there is a really good crop about to come through together over the next few years... I guess they will mostly get opportunity first in red ball cricket with the limited overs line ups harder to break into.

Surrey starting with spin and it's ragging...

Going to be very hard work for the Sussex batters. Good game in prospect.

Thomason nearly stumped then actually stumped next ball. Doesn't look to clever on the stream.

No offence to Thomason, I’m sure he’s a lovely chap and tries his hardest. But how is he getting paid to play cricket? Seemingly written off as a bowler even for Sussex, and doesn’t make runs.

This is textbook Sussex. Wiese will now score a 50 and we'll have a lead of 180ish and Surrey will knock em off with 9 wickets to spare.

Coles nearly got himself into prime position to top scored in the 2nd innings .... by getting double figures ... just
