Sod that, how long is it gonna take to get up to Stanstead. The best price I found was £60 odd, fly from Gatwick on the Friday, return to Gatwick on the Saturday evening

Yep I noticed that one DP.

Must say the prices quoted by Empire are very reasonable, even though it is from Stanstead.

A night out in Newcastle should be fun!

One minor worry. Booking the air tickets now, only to find the game has been switched by Sky.

Nice of BA not to have a saturday morning flight up. First flight from Gatwick arrives Newcastle 15:20.

Was more pissed off about FlyBe. Advertised flights from Southampton to Newcastle from £19 each way. Service begins the Monday after we play at Sunderland.

It IS possible to fly from Heathrow on Saturday morning and get to Newcastle in time, then fly back to Gatwick.

My son and his girlfriend may well fly up from Bristol. They are stonking good prices.

Good idea about sharing driving dodge but it would be good to unwind with a few pints once you got there. :drink:

I have driven 700 miles non-stop to the South of France before, and back again 2 weeks later. I won't be doing that again!!

Can't beat the 11.49 each way I have paid to go Easyjet from Bristol to Newcastle. It'll probably cost me more to park at Bristol airport!
does that include taxes, their was one flight up their for 1.99,but then taxes made it 15.00odd
