Evening chaps,

Me and a few of my pals are very interested in starting up a Sunday league team for next season. I know some people here manage younger teams and was just looking for any advice on how to start up a team, enter a league, admin costs etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Its quite expensive to start a team up from memory.

I think who ever is in charge had to pay £2 for a registration form for each member of the squad.

Each member of the squad has to pay something like £25 signing on fees.

The Sunday League then put you in and the council assign you a "home pitch"

The referee gets paid £35 each match.

You have to provide linesman and flags for home games.

All Brighton League games, assuming you are joining that league play Sunday MOrnings, 10.30am kick offs, or 11.02am on Remberance Sunday.

You get £10 fines for numerous things such as nets not pegged down, no corner flags, game kicks off late.

£8 fine for a yellow
£35 for a red i think

After every home game you have to fill in a card with the players played, subs nominated and a score out of 100 for the referee. If it is under 50 you have to give a written explanation as to why he was so shit.

You will also have to phone in your result to the League as a home team
Sussex Sunday Football League is the website you want to look at.
