after what time does a sunday league game count as a full game??

i was under the impression it was 70 mins (75%)

the reason i ask

we had a game called off in the 73 min (due to rain, game shouldnt have started) when we were 4 - 0 up and according to the league the match needs to replayed... why cause the other team asked for it to be!!??

can they do this?

is their anything in the rules about this?

thanks for any help!

Suprised if it is as long as 75 mins as the football league is 68mins I think, which is just over 75% of the game. I know that when in Epsom it was the same with their local Sunday league. For a double header they played 2 x 1hr games being 30 mins each half. It should be in the rules which your secretary should have a copy of. You could request a copy of the specific rule appertaining to this from the league secretary if he/she hasnt given a reference to it in the notification of the match to be replayed letter. Failing that the County FA are givena copy of the rules of every league and competition under their jurisdiction.

I'm sure you only have to play 35 minutes each way for a double-header, so it must be 70?

Different leagues have different rules need to check the rules for the particular league in question. When I was member of Surrey FA I was on the League Rules and Sanctions Committee so queries such as this came to us for clarification and implementation if required.

Interesting, a football club doesn't have to give a refund or free entry to a replayed game if the spectators have seen more than 45 minutes.

Do you play for Harleys FC?

4-0 up against Real Rosehill who's manager (i think) has something to do with the leagues and needs the points for promotion because they've played more games than most teams in the league.

Up here is Surrey it is down to each individual league or competition rules as they call them. So as a referee all we do is report the time the game was abandoned and for what reason. The league and or County Association will the rule on it depending on the abandoment i.e pitch unfit as in this case or for violent conduct etc

As I said in a previous post every league and or competition have to lodge a copy of their rules with the county FA before they are given permission to run their competition. Each club is supposed to send a copy of thie rules to their league before being allowed to take part in the league but it is rarely chased up or acted upon, unless a problem arises.
