Steve Bruce has never been afraid to pay big bucks but he expects a player to bleed for the club in exchange. Muntari presumably isn't the sort of player who would give that committment. Like too many current top flight" players he is probably better suited to sitting on the bench somewhere and making the occasional cameo appearance as long as it doesn't get in the way of shopping and clubbing.

at pompey he was prob on something like 15k-20K if that, then moving to inter prob whacked that up to 45k-60k... sunderland can prob afford around 45K for their top top stars like gyan and bent when they had him. muntari's move from pompey to inter has done alrite for his bank balance, but could ruin the rest of his career unless hes realistic and takes a pay cut as hes not worth anywhere near what inter are prob paying him. The agent is no doubt another prat telling him to ask for his inter wage wherever he goes! good on bruce. at least hes no mug!

And Portsmouth probably the reason he's on inflated wages as someone's unlikely to go down in wage once offered that kind of deal. That's why they move for free and small deals when worth more than that. Can't say I'm surprised. If he'd play for a sensible wage he'd be perfect for them.
