I see that there are a few looking to have Bob promoted to manager if the Copp leaves us.

I'm not sure if that's the thing though.
If the management thought he could take it on, would they not have promoted him when the last two left?

He may be a good coach (I haven't seen him work, but he's on his 3rd manager and despite the restrictions the new managers have taken on when they started i.e. working with incumbent staff, I can't see coaches of the calibre of the three keeping him on if he wasn't good) but can he do the manager's job? Has he got the contacts and the name, charisma and reputation that will get some decent loan / free / transfer signings when they become available?
I've seen Hinsh work with players and, trust me, he's a good coach, but maybe where he came unstuck was with having retired early through injury, he may not be as well known to the new generation of players as Adams, Taylor and Coppell. Thus it becomes difficult to persuade players to sign.

Maybe we need to do a Leicester (Bassett / Adams) or a Sunderland (Wilkinson / Cotterill) with a view to planning a natural successor. And before you say anything, Wilko's a good coach and has a gsoh - although it doesn't come over on TV.

Now, while I'm at it, what about Steve Cotterill ?

Although to be honest, I really hope that the Copp stays. Big him up Saturday !!

Whaddya fink?!?

Manchester.
To be honest my fellow seagull friend, I couldn't care who our next manager is because once he's been here 3 months he'll be gone just like the last 3 have.

Had 8 cans already tonight and I'm really hitting the :drink: now.
