Frankly, when it comes to fast (and cheap) food the Americans beat us every time. I know that the first (the second actually) place I want to go to when I get back is an IHOP just to have one of their superb omlettes.

got such a regular at the Subway by Embankment Underground station that they give me a free drink every time I go there - foor long ham and turkey or an Italian meat feast - glorious.
They are wonderfull, so much nicer than trhe crap from mcdonalds

They do a good offer if you buy 2 6" subs and order a large drink, you get the second sub for 99p, so it is actually cheaper to order the drink as well if you want a couple.
