They are both excellent games to play. And during the summer I switch to playing "Michael Athertons Table World Cup Cricket" :clap2:

Table Football or as the frogs call it "baby foot".
Subbuteo is far too fiddly and always used to end up with claims of cheating when I used to play against my brother.

subbuteo leads to arguements, used to have a mini league when i was a kid with my mates,

u used to take a shot at goal ,goalkeeper would dive to save it and the goal would go flying off the table.

all the players i had had great big dollops of glue as they had snapped off thier base.

remember getting bored once so me and a mate sprinkled talcum powder over the pitch to create snow!

much prefer Table football, or Fuzball as some people who watch "Friends" call it

"He always beat me at Subbuteo, cos he flicked to kick, and I didn't know..."

Awesome game (awesome song). Often play it in the office after hours. I have a Brighton team (of course), and play against a P****e fan, with his own P****e team. The other bloke is a West Ham fan, but for some reason plays with the Queen of the South.

As it were.

remember the little packets of fans you could get for your terracing? It would have taken about 50 packs to fill the ground up and they all faced and pointed in different directions. I remember staging running terrace battles and also using a bog roll as a tunnel for the players.
Was it just me that found it more fun to play on your own and just hold them by the head and score wonder goals dreaming it was you playing for albion?

Subbuteo, it HAS to be.

Call me a saddo, but I do collect football memorabilia, and recently I have diversified into collecting old subbuteo. Ah, how the memories flood back.

i had one of the huge 1970,s pitches ,a hand me down from my cousin , had fag burns in it, the goalpost was broken and mended with sellotape and old wire, most of the the players were guled on.
never played the correct rules, i played 3 touches, some people played ball nearest the player./
my yuoger sister used to come in my room or the dog and trample the players!.

what is the correct rules, to this day i dont know!?

Great days!!!

I've got a copy of the full rules at home, but there are loads of bits in there that I never played to.

EG, you are not allowed to "flick" from a position of forefinger on thumb. Your forefinger should be in touch with the pitch instead.
