The EXCELLENT bus and taxi services.

The all day bus ticket is superb value for money, especially since they stretched the boundary of the fare zone out as far as Lewes.

The free state of Kemp Town
Has to be the people. There's barely a night I go out when I don't come back with new names and numbers. It's very easy to get talking to new people here.

It attracts the right sort of people being such a liberal and tolerant city.

And I like the fact that all the crap is kept in the same place so all the wankers on a Friday night are contained along West Street and don't end up spoiling my evening.

The restaurants, pubs and nightlife.

The Sea and shingle, bollox to sand thats for northerners to do Donkey rides on.

Being able to walk home pissed and not get assaulted.

The South downs & Devils Dyke just a bike ride away.

I moved to brighton back in the late 60s, it was in my early teens, i lived there for some 12 + years and i can honestly say it was the best years of my life, i agree those years are probably the most memorable, but i have, and always will have such fond and great memorys of brighton, if it wasnt for work circumstances, i would almost certainly move back there, in fact come the retirement years, and theres a distinct possibililty that might happen, GREAT PLACE AND GREAT PEOPLE

Mentioned briefly earlier but when you go away, the women always get interested when you say you're from brighton. The more drunk I was, the better friends I used to tell them I was with Fatboy Slim (stood near him at the Goldstone regularly) and how I worked for SKINT records. (well I bought thier CD's)
Now if I was a Palace fans....funnily enough I'm from Croydon doesn't quite have the same ring to it..:lolol:

Brighton, UK
All of the above (although I'm too long in the tooth for a Tuesday in the Event - I was too old for that place 15 years ago), plus the UNDERCLIFF WALK - cycling along there is the most underrated pleasure that Brighton has to offer, I love it now as much as I did as a nipper. Except that now - miraculously - there are attractive ladies who serve cheap and freshly-baked cakes to you while you sweat away at Ovingdean Gap. The first time I saw them and their tasty nibbles I thought it was a MIRAGE.

Taxis are gash - overpriced rip-off.

Everything else is absolutely brilliant (except the pikey c*nts down London Road).
