Counago is set to leave Ipswich

Ipswich striker Pablo Counago has turned down a move to Spanish second division side Cordoba, but has accepted his future lies away from Portman Road.
The 25-year-old frontman, who joined Town from Celta Vigo in 2001, is available on a free transfer.

Counago said: "I love this club, but while I will be disappointed to leave it is the right thing for my career."

Ipswich boss Joe Royle said: "We will do everything we can to try and help find him a new home."

Could he do a job for us? Surely Spanish second division teams don't pay very much?

Nor do BHAFC

No we don't, and obviously it will depend on wages etc. But it's precisely because a Spanish second Div club were in for him that I bothered to post this. It could mean that we might actually be able to sign someone like this.

I don't know much about him... is he any good? Does he actually score any goals?

I believe that he is at Doncaster.

No good then, they would want money, we need a striker who we can get for and pay with magic beans

Not that we could afford him but was on bbc site today that gifton noel-williams is available on a free from Stoke.

He fits the bill...target man...also if i remember fairly quick.

Could be a decent partner for leon

Reading between the lines it would appear that stoke said they would help him find another club for when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

Maybe a loan deal with a wages split?

Would help him put himself in the shop window at championship level.....and with us being no threat to a stoke play off push could help

In fact could help stoke with us playing a fair number of playoff hopeful sides

leon fortune west cant cut it in division 2 let alone division 1 and i prefer us without a target man! we dont hoof the ball nearly as much with leon and harty upfront...which is a relief!
if you want a striker for magic beans, anyone from newcastle or adrian mutu would be perfect ;)
