Worthing Weather station reporting winds of 20 mph at moment. Huge variance between the two and so I'm baffled. It may just be that it is not as bad as feared.

Of course it won't be, but people wouldn't visit the BBC/Sky/Sun websites if the media didn't talk it up so they have to do just that.

Breezy but the wind has dropped and the sun is shining through the gaps in the clouds here in TN6. Small plant pot was blown over on our decking during the night.

The people next door had their front garden wall blown in to the road. I was out at 7.30 helping them move large bricks back in to the garden and cleaning up masonry. I feel I've earned tonight's beer already.
