BOSS Niall Quinn has lined up a hat-trick of signings to boost Sunderland’s promotion bid.
West Ham’s £300,000-rated defender Clive Clarke is set to sign in the next 24 hours, along with wing-back Ricardo Cabanas, from Cologne, and Arsenal striker Anthony Stokes, 18, on a season’s loan.
Quinn said: "A lot of clubs are content with who they’ve bought this summer, but I’m not."
In-demand midfielder Dean Whitehead, 24, has also signed a new five-year deal.
