For some reaosn I always used to end up completing villa first, simply due to luck, I remember alway having loads of paul mcGrath swaps that no one wanted.

I had a Mexico 86 one.

I had so many Kenny Sansoms it wasn't true.

But at least there was always Korea's Cha Bum Kun to snigger at in the playground over swapping sessions.

I had a world cup 98 sticker album (so much easier when you work full time and can buy £5 pounds worth in one go) and for some reason the only team that was incomplete was England. But two of my mates also had the same problem. For some reason you just couldn't get the stickers for about 3 England players.

I never managed to complete my Ireland Italia 90 collection mainly cos the f'kers didn't send me the top half of Mick McCarthy when I sent away for the 9 remaining I needed.

Thinking about doing the World Cup one for this year.

Les did you have to send of for the entire Iranian team for France 98?

I don't think so but I think I had to complete them by buying the news of the screws to get the free ones. they were giving them away free.

I always had a rush to complete Everton. As soon as Rooney scored that goal against Arsenal I always wanted to find him.And the day I got him,I stuck him in wonkey like all the others and he was one of the family...now he's a leary scouser who no-one looks up to(though it would be handy to be able to play like him)

I felt a real sense of pride at completing the Panini 1985 album.

Even though I did (whisper it) send off for the last three stickers after getting fed up of spending all meagre pocket money on so many packs, tearing them all open and finding just the same Colin Pates, Jonny Metgod and two obscure Scottish blokes squeezed into the same sticker I'd already got, got, got many, many, many times before...

First team I completed was Southampton, who spent a long while in a one-sticker-left-to-get race with Glenn-less Spurs...

I wrote a few of the longer articles in the Orbis World Cup '90 folder (including one turgid feature about Steve Nicol, I vaguely recall), but after I'd taken the easy way out five years earlier, a certain sense of the thrill was gone...

(Cue "Wonder Years"-style voiceover...)

For some reason I can always remember completing Bristol City in 1980.
I had the complete book of World Cup 82 without sending away.

I also remember checking each year to see if Jimmy Sirrell had got any uglier.

Ahh memories of my school days. Remember when you used to swap them with your mates. "Got,Got,Got, Need"!:D

:D

For some odd reason the crests of Norwich and Man City stick in the mind from the mid 80s,prob because they were on 'shiney' paper. Mexico 86 and the Scotland squad stickers also stick in the mind.

Had panini 86 and completed it.

Did anyone else have the stupid system at school where a shiny club badge was worth two normal stickers?
