I think the thing you're not factoring in is that I would expect NSC users to proportionally be among the more dedicated fans and have more points on average than the wider season ticket base. After all, generally speaking, why would you sign up to and spend time on a forum about a subject you aren't at least fairly committed to?

I have had a season ticket for 20+ years and have done about 16/17 away games consistently each year for many years. I have 350 points. My dad, who also qualified fairly easily for a Villa ticket, has 305. That suggests there can't be more than 2,700 people who have 300+ points. I reckon anyone with 270ish will be able to buy in the first round of sales.

I am around where you are and youngest on 335 so if you theory is correct will be very pleased.
