I was a the far lhs sid of our lot on saturdayt and the stewards were fine and did not mind standing during periods of excitement and vocal harmoney

They were fine - you play up you get a warning!

When he got a warning he was asking people to stand up - when they are TRYING to get people to sit. It was a fair cop. I have sung that too - but if caught I would expect a warning.

Standing is only dangerous if you fall over the seats.......Answer.remove the poxy seats.

I always stand, and if i'm in the back row i don't see the problem. It's the inconsistency thats annoying: some grounds you can, some you can't. It was the little bald steward that was the worst, and he rarely went into the middle of the 'standing section'. I pointed out that the Forest fans to our right were standing and he just shrugged.
