Lallana is the Southampton team captain. The Club Captain is Kelvin Davis,.... not that it makes much difference.

I think the Captain does, or perhaps can, make a difference. Needs to be someone solid, dependable, intelligent, reliable and inspirational, so that's Wayne Rooney out.

Firstly Gerrard can't be replaced with his godly passing but if he had to be I'd say that Lallana should be captain and Wilshire (if he can stay fit) should go CDM

I cant beleive people are saying Lallana, the man has how many England caps ? and Isnt even a starting 11 player as yet..

It will be Rooney, it has to Be Rooney, there simply are no other choices.
