In comparison to other clubs the attendance wasn't to bad.

The thing is, everyone goes on about our huge fan base. It was pretty much the first team, at home, in a game everyone knew we would win. Also the new managers first home game

For £10 I think we should be getting more people in.

No. I've allready said that. It's a bit of a treck to Brighton for a mid-week game, plus I only went back to Soton on Monday afternoon and have an essay to do. I did financially support the club though as I bought Seagulls World so that I could listen to the game. :)

Managed to arrange something a few weeks ago, before I realised it was going to be an LDV week.

If I had gone last night, in order to get home I would have had to have left after 90 minutes anyway to get the last train.

Up at stupid o'clock Saturday to go to Lincoln, so looking forward to that.

:drink:

So would most supporters, unfortunately not many of us appear to live in Brighton it seems so 4,000 plus is pretty good, i remember us getting 1,000 at Goldstone for a similar type of match

There are some not in Brighton. Fair enough. There are enough people in Brighton though to fill that ground or get at least get another thousand and a bit in.

Christ get a grip its a mickey mouse cup and you go on about £10 but its not that is it as you always spend a fair few quid at footer.

I recall reading getting under 2k at the mad a few years ago,so 4k is very very good for a crap cup.

If i went it would all cost about £60+ like many!
Plymouth are flying and have big potential and top and got 4k in a much better stadium for christ sake.

Hull massive potential in a fantastic stadium and top got 6-500,so work it out its very easy and no doubt if we had a stadium we would have got about 7-8k for a shite game against a not very well known team in boston.???

I believe that it was our first ever meeting with Boston (or did we once play them in the Cup?) - so should have attracted a few anoraks. But I would certainly say that 4K on a wet Tuesday, with live football on the box, was a good turnout.

My son and 5 of his mates went - most for their first ever game. They all enjoyed it, and want to go to the next round - provided we're at home.

Took my two sons along as always but a choice between LDV at Withdean in the rain or watch Man Utd on T.V. in the warm and the answer is still the same. Watch The Albion.

Mind you that extra time bit was not good as they didn't get to bed until eleven O'Clock and both overlaid for school (lucky things) while I had to be up at 04:45. Maybe get an early night tonight or maybe not knowing where I live.

Correct. About 2,700 against Colchester.

But then we didn't have a new manager, and we fielded only 1 first-team player, and Pardew even said beforehand that we were not taking it seriously in the slightest, so that kinda didn't help get anyone to the game. Pardew said (probably shouldn't have done) that the tournement was a farce, and that he didn't want to go through to the next round. Still won 2-1 though! :lolol:

4,000 is not good for a manager's first game! However I expect that on Saturday (if you're at home) then it'll be full as per usual.

Its a mickey mouse cup whatever and paying more money out is why its as it is until the later rounds.

Mind you 13k for copps 1st match in the 1st isn't good either:drink: better make that 12k after the gills fans.:lolol:

I can't drive, live 30 miles away and had to be up at 5am next morning. Listened on the radio and didn't watch the live matches.
Very much an away only supporter anyway.
