If it is Club sponsored or sanctioned I am very much expecting the delay to be the wrangling over the directors cut and omission of the Poyet years.

As the voice over drifts in......'Brighton miraculously jumped from League One to Premier League in a timewarp of epic proportions after Ultron destroyed the Universe and the powers that be replaced the time space continuum with football restored to it's natural order...'
also......the club were happy to announce it without a deal in place.

Of course not and as i said - distribution deals take time, and there's a strong sense on here that a streaming one is close.
I imagine the club and the producers want to get it out there. in the mean time the club is showing it at the Amex.
i'm not surprised its taken a while.
They may be better to contact the History Channel it's that out of date now

I believe that it is being shown at the Terrace this Friday evening?
…..until only 5 tickets are sold and it’s cancelled.

people just want to watch it at home, with their kids, at their leisure, in their pants, for free or within the price of the subscription they already pay.

They don't want to go to some random location one evening.

After 3 + years this really should have been sorted out by whoever is responsible. ML productions and/or the club.

One thing is for sure, with this build up, I am going to be disappointed to some degree.

As much as I want to see it, would happily pay a tenner to stream it from somewhere, and can't get to Brighton, it's not as though people will be deliberately stopping it from being released just for a laugh or because they can't be ar*ed. There's always a reason, and generally a boring legal one.

I know nothing, could rights issues be a bit of a nightmare for something like this before going on general release or would they have had to be sorted even if it wasn't destined for general release?

Bizarre, surely only a few 100 have seen it

Yep - as I said before, rights to archive footage are a nightmare. They could only have been cleared for cinematic use and not streaming use. Niche documentaries on streaming platforms are not lucrative. Striking a deal to recoup costs may be an issue.

It is very disappointing it isn't widely available but the entitlement of those demanding it for free is massively over the top. I believe I saw it in the best way, surrounded by fellow fans and helping the community scheme. There is another opportunity to see it this way. And there were a lot of chances to see it at the stadium with another coming up.

Not sure many are demanding it for free, many would happily pay. Set a big LED wall up the Amex in front of the north stand

I would like to watch it in the comfort of my own home, with the wife and daughter and if need be pause and explain bits and bobs, re wind if I think I missed something, and most importantly cry in private.

The subject of this doc is very emotive. Its no surprise that some people are keen to watch it the way they wish. Im not going to the Terrace or bloody Uckfield to relive the most painful struggle my club has ever been through.
