Am i the only one who is noticing the side that spurs are building, the potential of them team in 3 or 4 years time is pretty frightening, you have a class keeper in paul robinson, young and very talented players at the back such as ledley king, michael dawson, anthony gardner, caluum davenport, stephen kelly, then u have an array of potential in the midfield with carrick whose becoming a class act and reto ziegler a good player on the left, andy reid to throw in there, then the goal machine defoe with a very promising striker in mido up front, and most importantly a clever manager with a very confident attitude.what do ppl think will they close the gap in the next few years? i think they could be the suprise team to watch this year, mayb nick that last champ league spot.

They look like a good team on paper. But then people said the same thing about West Ham 3-4 years ago and look what happened to them.

the good thing about them is they are buying good, young english players and developing them - i hope they take the champions league spot, as it will show the other managers in the premiership that you can be successful with english players

They will become good soon but not yet as a lot of their young players need to develop a bit more before they can play regularly to a high standard in the Premiership.:lolol: :lolol:

I expect mid-table or lower this season. They always manage to underachieve in recent years.

Doesn't really matter what the team does, everyone hates the front wheels, don't they?

Mind you, I don't really like any other club apart from the Albion; I'm a bit strange like that!

They have a habit of paying too much for useless players. Example, Sergei Rebrov, they paid about £11m for him didn't they??

it was that or 13 million :lolol:

i hold a deep hatred for spurs(not going into reasons cos people mooaaaan) but must admit i hold a slight respect that there transfer targets are english. jol has not gone for the cheap dutch players etc but is trying to make an impact and gain appreciation which i think is happening.

they could have a team of

robinson(eng)-young
kelly(eng)-young
dawson(eng)-young
king(eng)-young
huddlestone(eng)-young
downing(if he joins)(eng)-young
carrick(eng)-young
routledge(eng)-young
reid(irish i know)-young fat
keane(same)-24ish?
defoe(eng)-young

Potential is something Spurs have had for years, but never turn it into consistent performances.
Davidson didn't stand out as Prem. quality when played for Cov. at Withdean last year.
