Season ticket holders are guaranteed priority for home cup games. Why should they be guaranteed priority for away cup games as well?

Do they also possess an away season ticket?

Don't you think that the office staff are under enough pressure at Christmas with 4 games in just over a week?

As far as I'm concerned they do a good job. It's only a game of football for f***s sake, get over it, there are plenty of people in East Asia who would swap their problems for ours.

I wish! Then we wouldn't have lost to Stoke!

There are still tickets available in the home end to NON_MEMBERS
Let's go for them!

Because they finance the club more than the away only mob. Anyway most of the long distance long term Albion fans are also season ticket holders.
I'm a sth but failed to get tickets for Grimsby or Spurs from the club. I was lucky enough to get tickets elsewhere.
I'll renew next season but a lot of others won't. I'm not moaning but the club will be damaged by their attitude to the fans who back them the most financially.

How many season ticket holders do we have? Would there be enough space at Spurs?

I believe that we have fewer than 5400. My point is not to whinge about this but to suggest that the club are going to lose out by upsetting so many season ticket holders.
They won't lose nutters like me who haven't missed an FA Cup game since Newcastle away replay in 1983.

I don't think you'd have many spare tickets once every season ticket holder took one. Some tickets are always taken up by sponsors/players or whathever - corporate tickets.

I didn't get a Grimsby ticket (although I did manage to get one via a friend) but did manage to get a Spurs ticket. We all love the Albion. You win some you lose some. Does it need to be looked at? Probably but I'm to tired to debate it all. :jester:

Maybe I am being a little ignorant here but ...lets suppose it was Spurs v Chelsea. Chelsea have many more sth's than away tickets at white hart lane or any other ground and therefore there are always going to be huge amounts of disappointed fans for this type of game. This will include sth's and no doubt will apply to most games they play away, especially near London. So you need to think like a bigger club if you want to be one and stop the paranoid conspiracy shit. You move up a division, you get more support, its harder to get the 'nice' tickets. Live with it.................

And how did the points work with two sth's after the one remaining ticket? How many away games that year? How many pies at the nearest kiosk? It matters not, there are always going to be many many disappointed sth's at those types of games.

I get the point but..... the club have to have to be open to fairer weather fans to still get tickets - it's an investment for future fans particularly if all goes to plan with falmer. They have not got your dedication or put in the money that you have but they may do and so may their kids, friends etc etc. There is already a false impression by non regulars that you cannot get a ticket at withdean when for 80% of games this season you could easily. I am not a sth but have attended most at home this season and more away than most sth's (partly because I live in London and home is really away if you see what I mean). I applied for tottenham with everyone else and got my rejection as an xmas pressie as well. I have been trying alternatives since then and may have sorted it out but not the point. Sorry but in my eyes no-one has the right to an awayday and the club do ok in sorting it out.

Not quite sure why you introduce the Asia tragedy into this - but the reason why season ticket holders must get first pick is:

we stump up £400+ each year, often many months in advance to sit in sub standard accommodation at Withdean

AMS may have stumped up a tenner a few years back

There must be a system like they have at all other clubs big clubs

gold membership - eg season ticket holders for 3+ years

silver membership - eg all other season ticket holders

bronze - AMS, littter pickers

The club do need to work harder to reward their loyal fans and this means they have to work a bit harder in organising ticket sales. This will not affect the staff in the office so much as they have to do it anyway. If it does the club will need to invest in more staff. But Perry and Knight need to take note.

How about Platinum Membership for people who bought Season tickets when we were at Gillingham? :jester:

totally agree with Jameson here

This has got me totally P****d off. 4 Season tickets plus A&K contributor = no Spurs tickets.

Perhaps sth should consider boycotting paying up front next year.

I am fed up with all these so called fans moaning about the fact that sth should not get first priority - of course they should. They are the ones that keep the club running over the summer months when there is no other source of income.

Get real - the club have really hacked off a lot of sth - too late for apologies from Perry now

I don't think the problem is season ticket holders OR regular away fans getting tickets, more the occasional visitor.

However, I do think a few people - maybe including the club - need to appreciate that in the current financial climate they can't afford to loose even 100 season ticket holders, especially if we go down.

To be honest it isn't fair to non season ticket holders but football and life isn't fair and money talks.

I suspect that if the boot was on the other foot, and the Albion had a HOME match against Spurs, then the regular away fans would not have been carping like a bunch of 6 year olds that they could not see the match.

As a HOME season ticket holder this gives you rights and priveleges in relation to HOME matches, end of story.

You know the rules when you bought a season ticket this year, no one forced you to. When people were scrambling around for Leeds tickets a couple of months ago there were no whinges from non STH, and the same will be true against Ipswich and West Ham. However some people (the usual suspects of course) are already clearing their throats (and it makes a change for them to make some noise) about Rotherham away of course.

All this 'I am a better fan than you rubbish' is smug sanctimonious twaddle from a bunch of Daily Mail readers.
