I got my rejection letter today, the cheque was dated 6th December so i know precisely when i sent it, so much for "applications will be processed in strict order of receipt"

Not that this will will help in any way, but I do know that some letters posted early did not get to the TO until late. This may have been the problem.

Bad luck mate

It was a bit of a lottery - I got mine thankfully but paid £37 for a child ticket.

This is a f***ing joke. We applied on the day of the announcement for 7 people;

4 season ticket holders
5 who have donated to A&K
and 3 of us went to Lincoln away in the 1st round last year when no other bastard could be arsed.

Our reward is a rejection letter. The club can stick my unwavering support up their arse if they cant sort out letters into date order.

I also do not believe they are doing it in date order either. I posted my letter off from London the morning after the details of the tickets were announced. For this I accept that my application would not have been one of the first but would have been fairly early. Despite this I received a phone call on Monday telling me all they had left were £37 tickets and did I still want to proceed.

I do not want to moan but I would have been sure that my letter would have arrived in time to get a ticket cheaper than £37 even though I actually stated on my letter I wanted the £30 ones.

Oh well, having 7 x £37 stripped from your account right before Christmas is always fun.

Even funnier was that when the tickets arrived in the post they had only put 2 in the envelope. I had to call the ticket office get them to post out the missing 5 tickets to me.

Anyway, it's Christmas...Let's get pissed.

ITs not the time you send that matters its the time when the app hits the ticket office. therefore if your apps are stuck with the post for a bit then thats why you missed out. Its bad luck but if you really wanted to make sure you could have sent it recorded delivery or hand delivered.

I missed out too. Absolutely devasted. I've been a season ticket holder since the dark days of Gillingham, pay early each year, cash on the nail, queued for 6 hours for Play-off tickets etc.....

There must be a fairer way of selling tickets than this. :nono:

According to the lettter from Perry there are over 15,000 away scheme members. Is this really correct? If it is it's impressive considering we cannot regularly sell out home games.

I am not rubbing anyone's nose in it believe me.

Date order did not occur or the postal system let us down.

Funny how mine appeared to take 2 to 3 days to get there but came back overnight.

Maybe but I firmly believe these haven't been handled in the correct order. I've said all along we should have a priority system for tickets when demand outstrips supply. This proves it.

Agreed. Although I fully understand it's my fault for not getting my application in quick enough, I do find it somewhat upsetting for my letter to be addressed to "Dear Away Member".

Like yourself I've held a season ticket since Gillingham. However, in the scenario where tickets are allocated to away members and season ticket holders first, I end up with the same chance of getting a ticket as someone who perhaps hasn't been to a home game ever, yet joned the AMS just in case we draw a big club. Hardly fair is it?

Couldn't agree more. What a load of Arse. Sent my letter day after they went on sale so I'd like to know who the 5,400 people who sent them before me are.

Not happy!!! Not only is our club screwed. it's screwing us!!

That's twice now. West Ham and Spurs.

Can someone explain the benefits to me of being a season ticket holder?

Merry F*&£ing christmas!!!

Interesting as the club phoned me up on the Tuesday (now I can recall) and the tickets arrived on Wednesday. I called them straight away to inform them of my missing tickets and they arrived the next day as well.

The simple fact is demand for away games only outstrips supply maybe twice or at worst three times a season so to create a system just for these would be foolish. The problem here lies in that xmas post is affecting delivery times.

So far every game this season I have applied for tickets I have got.

The benefits of being a seaosn ticket holder is you get rediuced price tickets and a guaranteeed seat at withdean for every home game. At not point has the club said this entitles you to anything else. Granted some clubs give priority to season ticket holders on away game but our club doesn't. Everyone knows the system and 99% of the time it works. If you want tickets for a game you know will be over subscribed make the extra effort to send the tickets in early or hand deliver them and you won't be disappointed.

For the record I am a seaosn ticket holder but I think the first come first served method is fine.

You get a guaranteed seat at the worst ground in the League.

You get a soaking if it rains.

You pay more than £400 for the privilege.

You get to see an England U21 International slice the ball into Row Q every other week.

Ummm.

Thats it.
