I miss this paper, used to love reading it on a saturaday evening.

I want it to be brought back

They used to print a Sports paper to buy as you left Maine Rd could not the same be done at The Amex, most people bought one and I think would if they did it at The Amex.

Did anyone get West Sussex Gazette back in the day? Regular colour coverage of the Albion decades before the Argus.

Could they not put a printing press in The Amex?. I am reasonably sure the one at Maine Rd was in the back of a large lorry/caravan or other mobile site.

Problem is newspapers are yesterday's media. No point in investing in something that will be nondescript in 5 years time. The online reports are available within minutes of the final whistle

This, as soon as a game finishes at the Amex I'm on my phone within seconds of final whistle to check the scores & tables on the sky sports app

For Saturday 3pm kick-offs at Withdean, used to always nip out from the Brewery Tap about 6pm for a Sports Argus from the newsagents down the road. Was always a quality read. I think the Argus is missing a trick here. Reckon they could shift a fair number after games at the Amex, and at Brighton station on the Saturday and probably a decent number around town on the Sunday also.

Bearing in mind that 'The Football Paper' is harder to find in Brighton than rocking-horse shit, I would suggest there is definitely a market for it, but as 8ace has pointed out, the fact the Argus is printed in Southampton would curtail its Saturday night availability.

Shame, as I'd love to see it back.

I was about to post a similar thread, following from the one on the Football League Newspaper. I remember getting it each Sunday for years way back when (not that long ago to be honest). I liked the stats page and the grassroots park football pages, but then the price went up to 60p and we were on a poor run of form, so I stopped getting it, and then it just disappeared :(
