When I was appointed as a magistrate in 2005 we were told "watch your speed, if you get a speeding ticket you'll get a stern letter from the Lord Chancellor. If you get a second one, you're out."
Took a bit of practice to reduce my speed from a couple of mph over the limit to a couple under but now its second nature to drive just under the limit.
If that pisses off people stuck behind me at 58 in a 60, sod 'em.

You might just want to check your insurance policy. For most, you do not have to declare this if you take a speed awareness course so it won't impact your premium but some do - I believe Admiral were one who ask you to declare.
When i took the course the Police were quite specific in saying that A, Its a Police matter and B, Any information was confidential. So the opinion was don't mention it to anyone as they won't know. This is not my opinion o/c but Turkeys voting for Christmas comes to mind. Also the course was very informative and well worth doing. It does make you think.

If it was Trump driving, which he hasn't done for about 50 years, he would lock up the magistrate and orchestrate a revolt against the council.

My SAC was an experience. One woman had it in for the very polite, friendly and reasonable instructor from the off. She launched into him for asking where she lived, "you have no right to ask a woman that question', leading him to explain she could say Timbuktu if she wanted, it was only an ice-breaker to test the mic.

Later, we were treated to a long rant about male drivers harassing her deliberately and repeatedly on motorways. It sounded like she's one of those people that hog the middle lane forcing others to overtake, then speed up and overtake themselves before dropping back into the middle lane and slowing down again. Rinse and repeat. I encounter it quite a bit. When this was suggested, she raged, "How dare you belittle my views. You have no idea of my lived experienced as a woman".

Honestly, I'm not making this up. At the end, she asked the instructor to stay online so she could speak to him separately and ticked him off for his outdated attitudes, said she would be making a complaint and he needed to alter his approach.

Gobsmacked.
