Thanks for clarifying, always nice to know I can rely on you if ever I need someone to state the f***ing obvious.
You seem to have trouble grasping the concept yourself, so I'm happy to help.

Maybe that's why everyone says "you can't judge a player after a few games". Especially when coming for a different league.

if they said "you can't always judge a player after a few games" they'd be correct.

It's still possible to stink the place out on your debut

I'm not following this post, maybe I can ask Stat Brother to state the obvious to me and decipher this line.
I believe WW is stating the principle that:-

'just because it's your debut, it doesn't mean you are guaranteed to be good'.

Or:-

'You can't judge a book by it's cover'.

Unless of course you are WW, when it's judging time.
Then you can judge away, and reserve the right to get titsy when everybody laughs at you, as the 'book' in question happens to be someone who 4 months later turns our season around.

It is fine to make a mistake, yes. AS LONG AS YOU LEARN FROM IT. That means stopping being such an outrageous dick the minute something goes wrong all in the name of attention-seeking.

that seems a pretty reasonable judgement

I believe what he's actually saying is he is a hero. That jumping to conclusions, and judging people before they've had a chance to settle in, gain fitness, get to know team mates, systems, the division, etc. is lionhearted. That to risk ridicule as you stand above the crowd and criticise the players of the team you profess to support way before they've had a reasonable chance of showing what they can offer takes cajones the size of a standard issue mitre football. Rather than being rash, and impatient, immediately judging players is something on a level with the actions of a certain little toaster.

It's easy to keep quiet and wait and see how a player performs over several games, or even over a couple of months to really give him a chance, before forming an opinion on his worth, and damn it, that's a coward's way!

I've seen the light. Let's go for it then: Ulloa is amazing. Hope I don't get the piss taken out of me for this statement in a few months.

When he first came over, he jus looked like an old geezer. But he's actually become a really useful utility player. And actually, no one has praised him for his goal this weekend, he took it so well for a right footer. Tbh, it's a funny time to post this seeing as he's just got 2 assists and a goal in two games. Your just a fuckin idiot mate.

On the ocean wave
Is he quick? No.
Can he shoot? No.
Is he skillful? No.
Have we seen anything to suggest he's a dead ball specialist? No.
Is he physical?
Is there an end product? No.

Deadline day panic buy, and yet another waste of space in an overcrowded group of mediocre midfield players. His best spell in La Liga? The best part of 5 years ago now for a mid table side, before he soon became a fringe player.

Friday August 31st, the day Poyet killed our season, dismantling a midfield that was looking good up until that point. :nono:

Can't be arsed to read the whole thread, but I'm glad it's been bounced.
