We have found a nice looking hotel further along the coast at Puerto Banus towards Marbella, Iberostar Selection Coral Beach. Decent area? Sadly the the Parador de Malaga Gibralfaro has very limited availability when we expect to be able to travel.

It's ever so slightly footballers wives in Puerto Banus / Marbella. We have mates in Estepona a bit further down the coast and we stay there once a year. It's much more sedate and quite nicely refined. Good restaurants and a slightly slower, slightly less gauche general vibe. Would definitely recommend.

Not well travelled but have been to Seville twice in 2011/2012. Thought it was a great city if you like cities to stay in as there is lots to see and a few nice places around it in reasonable travelling distance.
