Just bought myself a mag Classic Rock and on the cover was attached a very good CD ( name above)

interested.. any chance of a track list?

I tend to buy Uncut most months and this months freebie cd is a George Harrison one - music that inspired him and some cover versions of his stuff. No idea if it's any good as I haven't listened to it yet. Last months was a country rock freebie which was just so so

Just bought the aforementioned mag myself, so looking forward to having a read and a listen.

I notice they have a "Top 40 Southern Rock Songs" countdown inside - now, I haven't looked, but I am 99.99999% sure I can guess what's at Number One.

Surely, it must be:

Good, but the perfect choice for Number One, what an utterly awesome song.

I would assume that:

[yt]RHsDa9_HSlA[/yt]

would get a mention in there too.

Dave, try some Oxark Mountain Dare Devils or The Outlaws, the former are like the Eagles and the latter are a pure country rock band.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

They fit in Kid Rock, but not Sweet Home Alabama?

Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock (the song they put in their countdown), but compared to SHA? I think not.

Good to see Van Zant get in there though.

Or ZZ Top pre Eliminator. How many people know that for quite a while they held the World Record for the largest crowd for a single band ? University of Texas Stadium, Austin, Texas (Home of the Long Horns), Labor Day 1974.

Saw Blackfoot at Donnington in 81 and wasn't too impressed. Lynryd Skynyrd still the best of that genre. (having said that, Blue Oyster Cult were the most disappointing on the bill, fell asleep during their set).
