I am coming down for the Southampton game in May. I have held off booking flights to see if the game is moved for TV.

Can anyone tell me when we will know for sure if the game will or won’t move? Cleverer people than me on here seem to track when the announcements on TV games are made so I need your wisdom please!

I'd suggest 6th of April although some May matches have already been announced :

Note the EPL/Sky do not always stick to these dates though.

At that point, they should have met quota for everyone, so it will be about 'drama!'

Top picks
  • Manchester City15:00Chelsea - Big 6 v big 6
  • Tottenham Hotspur15:00Brentford - European places 6 pointer
  • West Ham United15:00Leeds United - Relegation 6 pointer
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers15:00Everton - Relegation 6 pointer
Leaving probably one, maybe two from:
  • AFC Bournemouth15:00Manchester United - Big 6
  • Brighton & Hove Albion15:00Southampton - South coast derby!
  • Fulham15:00Crystal Palace - London Derby!
  • Liverpool15:00Aston Villa - Big 6
  • Newcastle United15:00Leicester City - Love in for Newcastle? Two of the 'bigger of the 'not big 6 teams' teams'?
  • Nottingham Forest15:00Arsenal - Big 6

If we’re still in the mix for top four and Southampton are still in and around the bottom four, then there could be huge drama in that fixture.

Even if we are in the mix for the top six places there will be, (or seven really as Sheff United are extremely unlikely to win the FA Cup).

Odds on now l would think, that Southampton will be fighting to the end to avoid relegation.

I did consider that, but similar can be said for:
  • AFC Bournemouth15:00Manchester United
  • Fulham15:00Crystal Palace
  • Newcastle United15:00Leicester City
  • Nottingham Forest15:00Arsenal
All involve teams fighting it out at the top v teams fighting it out toward the bottom (as the table currently stands), so I looked for the other reasons I noted as a way to separate them.
