Southampton airport parking

Hi,

Im flying from Soton airport tommorrow morning and cant for the life of me book a parking place there as all the websites say my booking is not possible.

Im flying to and from Amsterdam for work tommorrow, so its a day ticket basically.

Does anyone know if its ok to just turn up on the day.

Its absolutely fine to turn up on the day. Long stay is minimum £30 though, so you use short stay, which I think will set you back £24, and allows you to park right by the terminal and walk in, rather than f*** about with a bus.

If you want to save a few pounds [ie. is this on expenses or YOUR money!?] then don't park at the airport at all - park at Southampton Parkway [Airport] train station, and walk across the footbridge [five minute walk].

Southampton Parkway is currently a building site with a multi storey car park being built at the Southern end. .Whats left of the car park is filled up with London commuters by 7AM. So unless you are planning to get there mega early , the airport is your best bet.

The Station is adjacent to the Airport, so it will cost you no time to swing into the station car park, and see if there's space, then swing out again and round to the Airport if its busy.

The thing with the station one is its really thin, and about a MILE long, so the later you arrive, the further you have to walk, back to the station / airport bridge. Where are you driving FROM?

M27 J5 signposted Eastleigh /Airport. -Take 2nd exit off slip road towards Eastleigh / Airport . After about 200 yards turn left at roundabout towards Eastleigh .
The station is about 100 yards on your right.
D'ont blink , or you'll miss it . It really is only a minute off the motorway.
I'm assuming that you're coming from the Bournemouth direction.

I used to fly from Southampton Airport all the time and didn't ever use the railway station car park, as it's invariably full unless you get there very early. I'd just use the airport parking.
